My current responsibility for the region includes the following:• Direct country responsibility for security operations for Australia and Philippines ;• Provide oversight and guidance to countries in region on all operational matters as well as roll-out of new security initiatives ;• Ensure governance and alignment of all country operations in accordance to Group Security standards;• Lead country teams to establish written business operating standards in compliance to Group Security standards.

Assigned to a financial institution (FI), my scope of duties includes:• Program manage the establishment of SOCs, to cater to 70,000 staff across 20 countries:- Defining operational model and deliverables in each phase;- Socialize and solicit approvals from both regional and country management teams for budget;- Recruit & train SOC team;- Develop new SOC workflows, procedures and standardization across the region; - Coordinate and educate countries on the new operating procedures;• Develop standardized global system settings across the FI global footprint;• Develop operational dashboards;• Manage delivery of SOCs

Key responsibilities: Singapore Country Security Manager and, concurrently, Regional Security Lead role for ASEAN region. Managed BAU operations for Singapore and ensure countries in ASEAN complies and adhere to the Bank’s security policies. Key accomplishments:• Stepped up and filled the position of Regional Security Director for 6 months and during which, initiated regular reporting of data analyzed from access records to the Bank ;• Planned and executed a Corporate Values refresh to 10,000 staff and completed within 4 days ; • Managed the upgrading to video surveillance systems in all retail branches in 7 months, inclusive of security assessment, budget, procurement, installation, commissioning and training ;• Attained the Lenel Certified Associate professional certification.

Reporting to the Regional Security Manager, the following were accomplished on top of maintaining routine operational duties for 33 facilities in 12 countries:• Collaborated with Procurement to roll out objective vendor selection assessment and successfully implemented assessment on 3 new contracts since roll out;• Incorporated Service Levels standards into new contracts for outsourced vendors to measure their performance;• Enhanced Facility Security Assessment Survey to identify security gaps prior to onsite security audits;• Established training materials for Crisis Management;• Monitor regional threats with inputs from service providers and provide travel advisories to staff;• Security Vulnerability Assessment.

Reporting to the Corporate Security in Houston, USA, I am in charge of 5 facilities located at various locations in Singapore and Malaysia with my key achievements as follows: • Implemented security and emergency operating procedures throughout all facilities under my charge and conducted regular review as operational needs changes;• Conducted regular audits on security vulnerabilities and follow through with recommendations for all facilities under my charge;• Conducted Security Risk Assessments for 3 new facilities in the region, within and outside my area of responsibility, and made actionable recommendations on security infrastructure to be put in place whilst keeping within strict budget constraints;• Developed relevant security awareness program for staff to enhance security culture;• Conducted training and exercises to hone capability of outsourced guards;• Managed security system and vendors through the implementation of Service Levels to monitor adherence of their service delivery to Corporate requirements;• Formulated effective alternate solutions to achieve required level of security without incurring additional cost; • Collaborated closely with business owners on security spent vis-à-vis Global Security’s requirements.
