Primary responsibility for providing the daily support and maintenance for a HP3000 based archiving application and Laboratory Information System(LIMS), other vendor supplied LIMS: Nautilus, LabWare, Empower and Debra. Other duties included minor changes to VBA and VB6 code and PHP web site as needed. Rewrote section of the System Library to enhance reporting section of LIMS application, which created automated sample tracking, eliminated location log books and provided immediate access to data.Enhanced Archive tracking application that was using unsupported Vendor software and hardware to handle additional remote sites in the US and China. The rewrite was completed and successfully deployed ahead of project deadline.Provided 2nd tier support for LIMS and Archiving application at our US and European sites. Maintained change control for these applications. Created system documentation and trained others in its use. Provided user training and was resource for how to requests.Modified several Validated MS Office applications with embedded VBA code to run under the newer XP operating system as part of the migration from NT to XP. Approximately 70 people at multiple US sites used these applications

Responsible for the creation, maintenance and execution of required governmental reporting as they are related to the sales and marketing of pharmaceuticals. Additionally provided assistance to the remote sales force with marketing data.Modified application and system processes to allow quarterly reporting application to continue to execute on severely undersized computer equipment. The changes allowed us to meet all deadlines, thus preventing the payment of penalties for late filling to State and Federal reporting agencies.Projects: Designed and maintained website for several product specific sites. Completed rewrite of Coumarcare.com.Managed the computer infrastructure for the Sales and Marketing organization. Consolidated Unix environment which created separate development, test, and production environments with a common storage solution. Reduced operational cost, increased productivity, and allowed for rapid storage expansion as needed.Implemented and supported Field First®, an intranet portal for assisting communications among Sales and Marketing personnel.Led the Y2K project to ensure that all systems worked correctly across this date.Completed data migration and reprogramming from HP3000 to VMS to Unix platforms, from 3GL to web enabled applications.
