Administrative Assistant, Student Learning Center, Front Desk
Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office and Learning Center. Support Center Coordinator and 20 Tutors through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. Coordinate and implementation of office and front desk procedures.Perform general clerical duties to include managing and distributing information within an office setting. Use lamination machine to create nametags and signs, schedule appointments using Google Calendar for the presentation lab, order supplies, answer phones, coordinate and maintain Tutors schedules in Microsoft Excel, greet students, visitors, and run errands. Create and modify various documents, projects, and tasks using Microsoft Word.Provide organizational skills with attention to detail when handling interpersonal situations with Coordinator, Tutors, students, and visitors in a professional manner. Provide customer service to staff, students, and visitors. Use Portland Community College (PCC) databases to search for, Faculty and Staff, Facilities Management Service, Books Store hours, current events, and other resources.Understand how to handle confidential and sensitive material of students logging into the TutorTrac system.Provide general housekeeping at close of business, assuring Learning Center is lock and secured before exiting the area.
