This entails managing the P&L of the business, engaging and negotiating with various stakeholders like the Government, Taxi Companies and Drivers, developing and executing demand and supply strategies to ensure that GrabTaxi continuously gain market share - all with the use of rigorous data analysis to drive decisions. My key accomplishments so far:► increasing revenue per ride by 50% without churn to the platform;► sealed 4 taxi partnerships that eventually led to the demise of an impending competitor;► implemented a new job allocation system that scaled to every taxi on the platform;► achieved highest daily and monthly number of rides for the vertical;► stabilised the team with 0% unplanned attrition;► chief "architect" in getting Fixed/Dynamic Fares approved by the Government for the taxi industry;► launched JustGrab service in Singapore - JustGrab became the fastest growing vertical in SG;► Spearheaded the revival of taxi pooling in Singapore via GrabShare Taxis;► launched GrabNow - the digitalising of street hailing in Singapore;► conceptualise and launch a campaign that managed to wipe out US$272 million off a competitor's market cap;► increase GrabTaxi’s GMV by 20%;► structured and scoped out the business models to launch a new GrabFood in Singapore;► improved exponentially the PPR for GrabTaxi vertical;and more to come.....

My role as the Chief Executive Officer has given me the invaluable experience of starting up a new company, planning and optimising the use of resources, developing and executing strategic plans as well as managing and leading a multinational team of 21 full time staff and hundreds of sub-contractors. Being a hands-on executive, I am constantly on the ground interacting with customers and frontline staff to understand their issues, concerns and various work processes. As the Head of a new public infrastructure, I had to actively manage and work with numerous internal and external stakeholders such as Board of Directors, Joint Venture Partners, government agencies, customers, media and the public. Under my stewardship, the terminal was operational within 5 months of us taking over and the business became profitable after two years of operations, two years ahead of initial projections.I was also involved in conference panels/forums and also spoke in major Cruise Conferences such as Cruise Shipping Miami, Cruise Shipping Asia Pacific and Seatrade All Asia Cruise Convention.
