Collaborates with the Chief of Staff, President, and Program Associates to shape, manage, and evaluate Mellon’s three Presidential grantmaking initiatives. This involves working across the initiatives to lead strategy development, manage grantmaking budgets, and oversee consultant engagements. Other responsibilities include proposal development and post-award grantee engagement for the President’s portfolio of exploratory grants, as well as managing the office of the President’s departmental/operational budget.Key topics include: the criminal legal system, public history, Puerto Rico, and grants management.

The Science, Technology, and Public Policy (STPP) Alumni Board provides guidance to STPP leadership on educational programs, research initiatives, lecture series, public and policy engagement, alumni connections, and future directions for the program.

Managed a cross-product initiative within Franchise Development to advance racial equity, while driving growth in the consumer business, by expanding access for un(der)banked segments and consumers of color. Key topics included: Access to Credit, Home Lending, Consumer Insights Research, and Regulatory Policy (i.e. Fair Lending, CRA, ECOA, etc.)

Co-developed and managed a multidisciplinary initiative within, Citi Ventures, focused on using data and technology to advance strategies for closing the racial wealth gap in the United States. The initiative supported Citi's broader Action for Racial Equity commitment. Key topics included: Equity/Human-centered design, Responsible Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and 3rd Party Data Management.

Led data-driven technical assistance to county governments across the U.S., advancing criminal justice initiatives for racial equity, building community partnerships, and reducing jail incarceration. This involved working with a multidisciplinary team of data scientists and legal experts on mixed-methods research, collaboration across stakeholder groups, and strategic planning. Key topics included: community-based strategies for public safety, algorithmic risk assessment tools, and racial disparities in incarceration.

Contributed to data-driven technical assistance projects, across the U.S., supporting policy solutions for enhancing racial equity, building community partnerships, and reducing jail incarceration.

Consulted on non-profit research projects related to science, technology, and economic development. Organizations included the Michigan Economic Growth Institute, National Coalition for Community Capital, and the Center for Community Progress. - Michigan Economic Growth Institute - Provided project management and research support for a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) funded study entitled “Maximizing Technology Commercialization of Federal Research Investments through the Best Practices at Innovation and Economic Prosperity Universities”.- National Coalition of Community Capital (NC3) - Developed individual case studies, provided policy research, and coordinated market analysis for NC3's Board of Directors to advance the organization's advocacy work.- Center for Community Progress (CCP) - Conducted comparative research and analysis on the implementation of the “Poverty Exemption” and other state tax relief tools, resulting in two internal memos to inform CCP’s anti-blight work in Detroit. Key topics included: the Michigan's "Poverty Tax Exemption", Community Advisory Councils (CACs) for land use, tax incentives for affordable housing development, and land-based business incubators.

Coordinated implementation of the Obama Administration's agenda for agricultural science policy and rural economic development. This involved working with senior Administration officials and career agricultural science staff within Research, Education, and Economics (REE).

Assisted the Under Secretary with various projects requiring immediate action including staff support to the Under Secretary in meetings, conferences, and discussions on matters related to the Department's programs. This involved contact with the White House, Hill personnel, Federal/state officials, private interest groups, farm organizations, Departmental officials, and others.

Successfully proposed and carried out a University funded, IRB approved study on grassroots organizing and political behavior amongst Latinos in Winston-Salem using a survey-based method for data collection and qualitative analysis to collect and analyze data from 30+ participants.
