Thus, we eventually decided to shut down the operation of LiveKrowd.LiveKrowd was created to run virtual concerts for hospitals to boost the morale of medical workers and patients while they battle COVID-19. ​We grew our average viewing time 3 times over and won the Universal Music Group (UMG) competition. I am a member of the committee of experts in the media sub-sector for Mega Science 3.0 program under The Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM). ASM is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament in 1995 and placed under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).ASM is taking a lead on encouraging public awareness and understanding regarding Science and Technology (S&T) and to make S&T as a basis for the nation’s economic development and societal well-being. As part of our activities, ASM is undertaking a foresight study to envision Malaysia in 2050 under a Flagship Study entitled “The Mega Science Agenda – Malaysia 2050”.The Study will envision nation’s Foresight for several industries towards 2050. It will determine holistically S&T strategies and opportunities for enhancing Malaysia’s sustainable development and wealth creation. The outputs of the Study will provide advisory inputs on a continuous basis to the government in support of the nation’s socio-economic agenda and will be presented as a Cabinet memorandum (Memorandum Jemaah Menteri).In Mega Science Phase 3 (2015 – 2016), five sectors, Furniture, Automotive, Creative, Tourism, and Plastics and Composites (FACT/PC) Industries, are being studied. The Creative Sector is further divided into 4 Sub-Sectors, namely, Heritage, Media, the Arts and Functional Creations.For your information, the Creative Industry is the most challenging industry in terms of its nation’s contribution. A profound and holistic “Outlook” has to be initiated and a Committee has been formed in assisting the Media Sub-Sector.
