I didn’t set out to become a voice in the grief and mental health space.But life has a way of guiding us to where we’re meant to be, even through the most painful paths. My journey into this work began with the hardest, scariest, most soul-crushing unimaginable loss—the passing of my daughter, Emerson, when she was only 11 months old.In the wake of her loss, I came face-to-face with a reality many don’t discuss:Grief is often treated like a stigma, something uncomfortable and best kept hidden.People around me didn’t know how to approach it, how to talk about it—or if they should even try. And as I began to share my story, I found myself encountering a range of often hurtful labels: “too emotional,” “unstable,” or “too much.”Through this confusion and heartbreak, I found a calling.I realized there’s an massive need for open, compassionate conversations around grief and mental health.A need to replace silence with support and connection. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Creative Writing, I realized I already had the tools I needed to create AND communicate.And with my own experience in grief, I found a unique empathy that allowed me to write about these sensitive topics from a place of understanding, not just observation.Today, I partner with individuals and organizations in the mental health field who share this mission: to educate, to connect, and to change lives through powerful, heartfelt communication.I help them put words to their own missions, connecting with audiences who need their support more than ever.Together, we create content that doesn’t just inform but offers solace, community, and clarity—transforming something deeply personal into a universal message of hope and healing.But the impact of my work isn’t just in the words themselves.It’s in the lives touched, the stigma broken down, and the growing acceptance that grief is not something to avoid but something to understand.That’s why I do what I do:To help you reach those who need you, exactly when they need you, and to change how the world talks about grief and healing—one story at a time.
