I’ve taught 6th- 8th grade math, including advanced levels and math applications, and served as a Department Head since 2018. Each new assignment required me to create and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students with varying levels of comprehension. This role requires frequent gap analysis to determine where students needed more practice to master skills. I am the owner and administrator of a Google website that requires weekly maintenance and updates to inform students and parents of current assignments and grades. Additionally, during the pandemic I hosted a virtual Google Classroom for students who meet via Zoom and created automated workflows to keep the in-classroom students and virtual students on track with the core curriculum. I have been a team lead in selecting the company for Leander ISD to use and training all staff on the new chosen student information system. This includes creating training documents, tutorial videos, and in person support.In my time working at Stiles MS I have built and maintained the curriculum for the "Math Extensions" class that I teach. When I started teaching this math extensions (designed to support the core math class) there was not a curriculum or road map on how to make it meaningful, measurable, and successful. With a team of teachers we built skills checks (fifteen question spiral review), tutorial videos to support students during reflection and corrections, student data trackers that keep the students in charge of where they are with their skills, as well as online skills practice to solidify their learning during corrections.I am very proud of the curriculum and systems I have created for math extensions. Every middle school in the district had math extensions at one time. But once it was left to the principal to keep it at their campus leaving only my school still rocking away with huge success and progress that is show and proven through data tracking and state test scores.

Launched and maintain an Etsy shop from my home dedicated to customized graphic design and printing of vinyl and sublimation artwork on varied wearable and promotional products. The shop has grossed $120,000 in revenue with 5000+ online orders and 10% B2B sales. I manage the inventory and finances while my daughter focuses on graphic design and marketing. We pride ourselves on quality production with timely shipping and excellent customer service.

Fulmore Middle School

I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math at Fulmore MS which has predominately economically disadvantaged students. I created structured and positive learning environments for students to thrive. I tailored my lessons to students with English as their second language as most of my student were. The two years I taught at this school are still the most rewarding and still hold some the biggest lessons I have ever learned in my life. It was a great opportunity for me to go into an environment completely out of what I had ever known.

I helped customers with various transactions including returns, exchanges, and credit applications while providing exceptional service to ensure their satisfaction. I had to problem solve with different problems that would come up with defective products or warranty exchanges. I helped train new employees for the operations department and mentored them on positive customer interactions.
