During her time at Axim, Mena demonstrated a passion for Axim's mission and for solving technical problems in service of it. Mena's work on accessibility is a perfect example of this. Mena implemented solutions that allow more learners to learn, and focused on understanding how and why those solutions are impactful. Mena is an incredibly effective collaborator. Mena would prepare presentations and questions for working group meetings, gather feedback, and leave with a comprehensive list of action items. Her attentiveness and respect for others' time is unrivaled. Mena is always honest with herself and others. This was evident when she reached out to gather feedback on how she was progressing within the internship. Mena was true to herself and aware of what she needed to succeed, and she expressed those needs in an incredibly respectful way. Mena also demonstrated a love for learning. She has the incredible ability to find answers to the question, "what don't I know?" Her ability to break down problems is wonderful, and it's amazing to see it go as far as the ability to break down the problem of "I don't know enough about this yet."
