I am primarily a Java developer, with knowledge and understanding of a number of programming languages, frameworks, and systems.I spent a little over a year at Authentic, based out of Richmond, Virginia, on projects for their clients, using the Bloomreach CMS (Content Management System).I spent several months consulting at C2P Group on an internal project, aimed at eventually certifying with Fiserv as a payment processing partner.I was formerly part of the team that maintained the B&H Photo & Video website. That was quite an experience, working with Java SE and EE, HTML and Javascript, SQL of various flavors, and a host of other technologies, both in a programming (new code) and debugging (old code) capacity. At some point, my primary responsibility became updating and deploying the many EJBs that communicate between different parts of the website and other internal applications.I also found myself to be the local "guru", to whom other team members came when they had an issue with their local environments. I acquired this title when I helped train in every new member of the programming team that came in after me.After COVID struck, I spent several months at Verizon, working on internal applications related to network support. This showed me a different approach to building and working with Java EE applications, as well as learning to work with larger teams, spread over the world. I also spent some time at Bank of America working on the investment websites.
