A member of Tax Team and reporting to Country Tax Manager, is responsible for Indirect Tax area in country • Manage complexities around indirect tax compliance process due to relatively volatile and unstable fiscal environment • Indirect tax advice to the businesses and all finance functions • Managing tax investigations, relationship and effective interface with tax authority touches Indirect Tax Advisors responsibility considerably • Presentation of the company to the Tax Authorities and external stakeholders Accountable for the following: • Indirect tax advice to the businesses and all finance functions • Identify and address Indirect Tax related opportunities and risks, providing support to organizational restructuring and cash optimization projects • Manage potential exposures and internal/external stakeholders associated with the volatile fiscal environment • Manage expectations/relationship with tax authorities during tax audits in a highly investigated sector in the face of a limited timelines and resources • Obtain and maintain sufficient knowledge from the Businesses, Functions, and the Tax Managers supporting them to make sound resource prioritization decisions • Monitor and share relevant Indirect Tax law developments including providing timely support to businesses, finance teams and FO center related to the legislation changes e.g. Excise duty tax rate changes, introduction of new fiscal requirements etc • Indirect tax focal point in Turkey who is responsible from the control environment of compliance, as well efficiency and cash impacts of Indirect taxes, including controlling the VAT and Excise Duty tax returns • Supporting to manage tax audits and relations with the Turkish Tax Authorities • Supervising VAT, ED refund and the Bank Letter of Guarantee clearance processes with the local tax authorities. • Indirect Tax support on projects (personally and through others) • Localize global indirect tax processes and projects

Providing day to day indirect tax compliance consultancy to clients from various industries whith or without tax residency in Turkey. Including the following topics:- Indirect tax consultancy- Customs consultancy,- Assistance for HS Classification of products to be imported or exported- Inward Processing Regime and its implications on tax and customs procedures,- VAT consultancy, - SCT consultancy,- Free Trade Zone operations,- Investment Incentives (State Aids)- Assistance during state tax audits and disputesIn addition to day to day consultancy service I am also responsibe for the following:- Providing export controls compliance support to clients,- Performing compliance reviews for clients with an emphasis on customs and VAT,- Performing compliance assistance on rules of origin, - Preparation of VAT & SCT returns for clients.- Partnering with other PwC teams to provide a cross-expertise service to the clients

Performing roles with increased responsibility on projects that PwC Indirect Tax team provides to its clients. Projects include; - VAT & SCT projects (analysis, compliance and refund)- Structures including Free Trade Zones- Customs regimes with economical impact including inward processing and bonded warehouse regimes- For most projects leading the field team is also included in the responsibilities.- Being the direct contact with certain clients for daily information and opinion sharing. - HS Classification Projects- Performing customs broker selection studies tailored for client’s needs.
