The project aimed to increase knowledge of flameless combustion and combustion in general for use in industrial conditions, allowing for the development of combustion systems that minimize environmental impact in the process.• Characterized the combustion of a liquid biofuel and investigated the flameless combustion of such a fuel.• Modified an industrial furnace with the objective of providing users with exposure to the control and safe operating strategies associated with industrial combustion.• Radiative heat transfer within a combustion enclosure was demonstrated through furnace simulation.

Worked on a major new product development for the paintball industry – a waterproof paintball marker. Not only would a waterproof paintball increase its shelf life but also cut production costs by using a water-based paint rather than a latex or oil-based paint.
