Current radiography and MRI techniques are not effective at detecting early stages of Osteoarthritis and implant failures. Conduct research on a system that relies on low cost inertial sensors, worn by the users in their daily life together with an activity classification engine and motion reconstruction of their kinematic motions. ■ Reconstructed motion trajectory using low cost inertial sensors■ Created gait analysis algorithm to extrapolate position of neighboring lower body limbs■ Assisted with integration of ground truth using Microsoft Kinect ■ Trained Naive Bayes classifier, machine learning filtering algorithm to reduce 98% of noise from inertial sensor's accelerometer, gyro and magnetometer.
