I have provided graphic and web design services since 1998. My services cover a broad range of graphic and web design needs. For the past sixteen years I have primarily set websites up on WordPress as a Content Management System. I have developed over 500 WordPress based sites, including the launch of a 64-site network. I have worked with anyone from BBC Radio DJs to managing over 350 active sites at once. I have an extensive background in CSS/CSS3, HTML, jQuery, PHP and can also assist in setting up responsive adaptations of your site for mobile devices.

Blue Blazes is a group of industry expert strategists, designers, writers, photographers, developers and internet marketing experts. Their primary focus is building brands, from brand identity and all things visual, to video production, to full-fledged websites. They have a very hands on approach, putting great detail into their work.I served as lead web developer for their team, heading up a number of robust website projects. This included wireframing and user experience architecture, in-depth sitemaps, deep involvement with the design elements of each site, and programming websites from the ground up.

Spot Color Marketing is a design, marketing and branding agency based out of Portland, Oregon. I headed their digital department, operating both remotely and in house as their lead web developer. Working directly with the agency's team on a daily basis, I handled all WordPress and front-end development duties.This included taking projects from concept to completion: Assisting with proposals, consulting during the discovery phase, implementing client needs into sitemaps and wireframes, collaborating on site designs, and coding projects into custom WordPress themes. I applied CSS, jQuery, PHP, and responsive adaptions for mobile and tablet devices. I built sites in both custom and Bootstrap based frameworks, and put together easily manageable content within WordPress.I also trained staff and clients on site use, which included video tutorials and other detailed documentation. I managed the company's hosting service for clients, overseeing 60+ sites and regularly taking care of routine maintenance on these sites. I also focused on site security, recovering hacked or damaged sites, and all critical situations. I took care of all maintenance on preexisting sites, implemented new features into them, updated core functionality, and any other client needs.I also was on-call around the clock and immediately dived into any agency needs. I assisted with account management and was the lead contact for the agency for multiple clients. Spot Color Marketing also directed me to design web UX/UI and various graphic design projects, implement SEO changes and Google Analytics within sites, and an assortment of other duties.

I operated remotely as an independent contractor for Subtext, a marketing and advertising agency in the Portland, Oregon area. I worked directly with the agency's team as a web developer, working together with other developers, designers, and project managers on various websites. This primarily consisted of WordPress development, including CSS, PHP, jQuery and other front-end development duties. In addition, I assisted with setting up a Magento based e-commerce system.

Weston Insurance Services offers insurance consultation across a wide variety of coverage needs. I lead all web development and managed their network of over 350 WordPress based websites. During my time there, I worked remotely from my studio in Portland, Oregon. I designed and developed a number of their flagship sites, some of which were in Google's top insurance rankings and receiving over 10,000 visitors a month. I regularly optimized the sites, did daily WordPress maintenance, and oversaw all of their team operations. I worked directly with all SEO consultants, including Joost de Valk and SEO In House. I implemented both content and code changes as directed by these SEO consultations, was in charge of all linkbuilding, and any other work done to the sites. I managed other web developers when they were brought in to help with excess work. I also oversaw the blogs across all of the sites, and headed up content strategy, hiring blog writers, and editing and scheduling their posts. I managed all hosting accounts, including migrating hundreds of sites as resources required. In addition, I developed and launched a 64-site network.

I was a graphic designer for Northwest Publishing. Here I created thousands of advertisements for businesses across the country. This included developing new material, working with corporation's standard identity, and working between the art director and the clients. I also put together the layout and pre press preparations of each issue of their publication for printing. This often required high production rates, involving hundreds of advertisements per month.

I was the staff graphic artist for Sportfight, a Mixed Martial Arts production company run by UFC fighters Randy Couture and Matt Lindland. Production was primarily from my home office, with regular conference meetings. I created advertising and promotional materials, posters, postcards, programs, event IDs, signage, and all of their print and digital graphic design. I also helped develop and maintain three websites for their business. In addition, I designed materials for and was the webmaster for the TeamQuest MMA & Fitness training centers. While there, I was given a 40% salary increase.

My duties for Solid PR involved developing and maintaing their website, design promotional material for both internet and print marketing, creating magazine advertisements, posters, and other design needs. I also assisted in the marketing department. This included conceiving of branding and all visual looks for the company. I worked from my home office in Portland, Oregon.

The Meow Meow was the longest running Portland all-ages music venue. My responsibilities were both volunteer-based as well as managing my own events. This included assisting in managing live music events, facilitating third party vendors, and booking and promotions. In tandem to this was my involvement in the local music scene putting on events from 1997 through 2009. The diverse inclusivity and community-driven creative environments was a highlight to my journey.

I was a graphic and web designer for Leamy Printing and Design. My duties included creating logos, advertisements, menus, programs, signage, developing corporate identity, and a variety of other projects. I was also the head of the web design department. In addition, I assisted with any additional printing services. This included putting together print runs and operating the machinery.

I tracked and kept records of the hundreds of donations regularly contributed to the downtown Portland, Oregon homeless mission. As well as put together data for outgoing campaign mailings and other related data entry tasks.

I was the webmaster and Information Systems Specialist for this government agency. I was in charge of maintaining their website. This involved working with the staff on implementing new ideas and information, compiling hundreds of documents and forms, creating new elements to the site, and any other needs they required. In addition, I did troubleshooting for their office network, kept the staff's computers in order, and assisted with any other technical issues or needs there.

I wore multiple hats for Bettie Rocket Records, including Assistant Artist Relations and handling all of their publicity and radio promotions. Bettie Rocket Records was a subculture record label based out of Santa Cruz, California. I worked remotely from the Portland area. In Artist Relations, I was responsible for tracking down new music talent for the label. This involved processing hundreds of artist demos, analyzing their potential, and initiating negotiations to work together. In addition, I went into the recording studio to oversee production of multiple albums. I also created three different music compilations for the label, the first of which sold over 30,000 units. For publicity and radio, I headed up all media promotions. This included writing press releases for all of the label's artists, finding interview and album review placement in national publications, and maintaining close relationships with publication owners and editors. I also managed relationships with hundreds of FM and college radio stations around the US, weekly promoting new artist singles and ensuring regular airplay. College interns reported directly to me for their duties and to integrate their services into the label.

At a young age, I was hand-picked by Multnomah County to be on a small team responsible for launching the Multnomah County Youth Advisory Board. This board represented high school students across the country to the Commission on Children, Youth, Families & Community. This served to help policymakers identify the county youth's priorities. My duties involved the planning and execution of founding the board.
