I am a dedicated fellowship-trained physician- double board certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy & Immunology with cross-training in pediatric and adult Allergy & Immunology.  My clinical areas of expertise include urticaria and angioedema, drug allergy, severe asthma, food allergy and allergic rhinitis. I also enjoy general Allergy/ Immunology. One of my favorite aspects of Allergy/ Immunology is the wide applicability to the general population and the ability to address the significant impact that allergies can have on a patient’s quality of life and productivity.  I am fundamentally driven by a desire to help people and to provide quality care.  I pride myself in patient satisfaction and efficiency, as my work style is both detail and process oriented.  I have trained and worked in a broad range of clinical care settings, including private practice, the VA, Kaiser and academia.  My experience allows me to bring a unique perspective and skill set that incorporates the best of these practice models.  I also bring significant clinical research experience that expands study start-up to manuscript preparation. My current research interests include urticaria and angioedema, as well as improving the understanding of allergic disorders in Asian American populations. My academic passion is medical education and fostering the growth of our trainees. I am particularly interested in harnessing the power of coaching to promote self efficacy and wellness in medicine.
