I am currently a MS candidate in Computer Science at Northeastern University. I enrolled in Align program in 2021 and right now I have passed all bridge courses and entered computer science graduate program. Prior to enrolling for Align in Masters in Computer Science program, I was an accountant. I have graduated with a Bachelor degree in accounting in Sichuan University and a Master degree in accounting in University of California, Riverside. I am a CPA (Certified Public Accountant, State of California) and working as an accountant for the past 6 years. My background equips me a set of skills that make me in better team management and collaboration, such as clear communication skills, strong attention to detail, empathy, and problem-solving. I am very diligent in ensuring the details, numbers and information are accurate and consistent. And I have organized working processes and disciplines to check and validate my work to make sure the work will be delivered correctly without mistake. I have completed courses covering broad topics in Computer Science including functional programming, discrete mathematics, Object-Oriented Design and Systems. I am competent in Python, Java and C. I have developed several projects including developing a full stack using different framework and database such as REACT, Angular Node.js/Express, Spring Boot and MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Amazon S3. Also I have helped a start-up healthcare company with backend exploratory data pipeline and management.I am a growing student of Computer Science, developing my technical. I believe that my previous experience and the skills I am acquiring in my MSCS program will make me fit for a role in Software development.My current goal is to find an internship or Co-op position so that I can gain experience in my field, as I pursue a career in CS.
