I am a graduating Civil Engineering student with a Structural minor at University of Calgary and seeking for a civil EIT position. I am thrived on designing sustainable and innovative structures, which make the communities a better place to live. Besides, I am a motivated, organized and a person who would like to think outside the box to solve a wide range of challenges. I recently completed my 12-month internship with Cenovus Energy in the Project Service Team, where I was in charge of conducting cost estimating, cost control and risk management for downstream and midstream projects. In addition, I also worked for civil engineering team to design a steel tank mixer support according to Cenovus engineering specification.After four years of pursuing my academic career, I thoroughly understand geotechnical, environmental and structural engineering concepts including Reinforce Concrete Design and Steel Structure Design. For my final year capstone project, I led the structural design for a 3-storey steel building according to S16:19 and A23.3. These design experiences allowed me to apply my academic knowledge to a real-world situation, moving from theory to practice. Additionally, I further cultivated my teamwork and leadership skills through this work experience. As a new grad, I would like bring my hands-on engineering experiences and engineering knowledge into my future position.
