In 2015, I pursued my studies in Psychology at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK. During my 3rd year, I discovered my passion to uplift and empower the girl-child living in the rural areas in my home country- Zimbabwe. I was flooded with visions of underprivileged communities, and how vulnerable the young girls growing up there were disadvantaged and negatively affected for life. The mandate was to become their mentor, and to complete my studies, gain work experience in the health care sector, and return home to develop the rural communities, through girl-child empowerment programs. In 2018, I couldn’t wait a non-profits organisation, called Khanya-Be the light was born in 2019, as a women-empowerment organization that has an overall aim of contributing to the development of the Zimbabwean society through empowered and self-reliant young women. We aim to achieve this by empowering women environmentally, economically, physically, psychologically, spiritually, and socially within the Nkayi Rural District in the Matebeland North Province of Zimbabwe. Khanya is an organization that is focused on humanitarian issues that affect the overall psychological, physiological, and spiritual/emotional well-being of a girl-child such as HIV & Aids, early exposure of sexual engagement, victims of several abuses, lack of education drive/provision, teenage pregnancies, and child marriages.

We aim to provide a diverse online and physical market hub/consultative forum for both established and aspiring livestock farmers, as well as offering a platform for interface between livestock buyers and sellers. Our passion is to bring quality, convenience and efficiency in order to grow the livestock industry and help our clients create an investment in livestock farming.
