CurrentCurriculum Designer
CurrentAs a curriculum designer for my own classrooms as well as those of the broader Opportunity Education network I have worked on a number of different projects. I have created in class simulations of WW2, World History through an analog "Civilization" clone, stock exchanges, Cold War shenanigans in Guatemala, and more. My greatest achievement has been a fully gamified course on Ancient Greek History featuring debates, political operations, and a tabletop geopolitics simulator. Without requiring any work beyond the readings, my course incentivized high school students to write upwards of 75 pages over the course of the year, teach the class, and read copiously beyond the syllabus. At Opportunity Education, I have worked with the Platform Team to provide feedback and ideas for implementation in the Quest! App, the in-house Learning Management System. I have also been hired as a curriculum designer on Quests! for which I am contributing design principles and guidelines to gamify the educational experience we provide.

Founder
Every week I came up with a topic for conversation that was likely to incite interest. Subjects included "Coups, Conspiracies, and Revolutions" and "Historical Badasses."
