During my internship at Sable Fermentation, I played a key role in supporting the company's growth and strategic initiatives. My responsibilities included:Fermentation Market & Customer Research Project: I conducted comprehensive market research to identify customer needs and trends within the fermentation and biotech sectors. This involved engaging with CEOs and industry leaders in the North Carolina Ecosystem to gather data and insights that informed our market strategies. My research was presented to a BioMADE business model team composed of NC Biotech Center council members to contribute towards the development of a pilot-scale biomanufacturing facility in North Carolina. This collaboration is ongoing and involved strategic planning and business model development in hopes of advancing the region's biomanufacturing capabilities.Inventory Management: I organized and inventoried lab equipment, ensuring accurate documentation of serial numbers, model numbers, and origination details. This was crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and supporting research and development efforts.Procurement & Quotations: I obtained quotes on essential items, contributing to the procurement process and ensuring that the company had the necessary resources for its operations.
