My responsibilities included:Fermentation Market & Customer Research Project: I conducted comprehensive market research to identify customer needs and trends within the fermentation and biotech sectors. This involved engaging with CEOs and industry leaders in the North Carolina Ecosystem to gather data and insights that informed our market strategies. My research was presented to a BioMADE business model team composed of NC Biotech Center council members to contribute towards the development of a pilot-scale biomanufacturing facility in North Carolina. This collaboration is ongoing and involved strategic planning and business model development in hopes of advancing the region's biomanufacturing capabilities.Inventory Management: I organized and inventoried lab equipment, ensuring accurate documentation of serial numbers, model numbers, and origination details. This was crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and supporting research and development efforts.Procurement & Quotations: I obtained quotes on essential items, contributing to the procurement process and ensuring that the company had the necessary resources for its operations.

Effectively managed front desk operations at both East Carolina University's Main Campus Student Center and Health Sciences Campus Student Center. Answered phones, greeted visitors, addressed inquiries, and resolved issues involving students, staff, and university guests. Filed and maintained university mail and enforced/provided for the safety of patrons during campus events.

Participated in the Lemelson-MIT Biogen: BioTech in Action Program which focused on biotechnology and its use in improving the lives of people with Alzheimer's disease. Collaborated with a diverse set of students, scientists, inventors, and professors worldwide to research and develop technology or a mode of therapy for a chosen neurodegenerative disorder. Had the chance to explore various careers offered at a biotechnology company and Biogen specifically.
