There are also a few different rate structures used by merchant account providers but with one commonality, is they all charge interchange. Some use tiered pricing, others a far different structure. Remember this, when a processor is offering you a crazy good deal (free terminal etc) there is a very good chance they are locking you into a contract with raised fees in order to recover the cost of acquiring your business.
