Mercy has over 15 years’ experience in Project Management. Administration and Management in various capacities.Currently, she is working as the Education Liaison for Africa with CAVU. Championing Climate Education among learners in Africa. she is working in supporting educators who have registered for the ClimateInnovationChallenge.org to best equip and teach the CIC curriculum to their learners as well as come up with innovative solutions adapted locally. Mercy is the Founder and Lead Educator at Angaza Africa; www.angazafrica.com an organization that works with teenagers and the youth in career and life-skills development, outdoor and recreation; bringing together fun and excellence in life and careers. She leads the team in the planning and coordinating experiential learning experiences and travel as well as the mentorship curriculum development. She passionately applies her skills and knowledge to youth; teenagers and pre-teens in life-skills development and mentorship. She has previously served as an Administrative Director in charge of Leadership, Mentorship and Day to Day efficient running of an International School. She pioneered development and integration of the unique mentorship coaching curriculum run weekly in the school through her skills and experience as a career coach for pre teens and teenagers.Mercy is also a Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC) with www.cdi-africa.com. In October 2016, Mercy was recognized and rewarded by Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta with Life Membership Award for the prestigious President’s Award Scheme Kenya (PA) www.presidentsaward.or.ke. This was for meritorious volunteer service for over 10 years, having been a member since year 2000 and representing Kenya as a Gold Award delegate in Mauritius in 2008. Over the years, she was involved in planning, executing and assessing outdoor and recreation activities and skill development experiential activities with the President’s Award. Mercy holds a Bachelors of Nursing and Public Health from Kenyatta University. She worked at the Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi Kenya, in the Cardiac Unit and the ICU Department for over 3 years and her experience was in critically ill patient care and management, planning and effective running the day to day operations of the Heart Clinic as well as patient education programs. Mercy is a passionate, ambitious and highly motivated young lady with a vision to create an enabling environment for the youth she interacts with.
