As an experienced organ recovery coordinator working with a very well known OPO, I am well-versed in the complex process of organ donation. In my role, I am responsible for accompanying organ recovery teams to donor hospitals, assisting the recovery team with the perfusion and preservation of post-mortem organs. I also am responsible for the recovery of corneas, tissue for transplant including but not limited to heart valves, as well as research organs and tissues from post-mortem donors observing and adhering to FDA current Good Tissue Practices and AATB standards. Additionally, my expertise in kidney perfusion enables me to effectively assess, place the kidneys on the ORS device and optimize kidney function prior to transplantation, improving outcomes for transplant recipients.I am dedicated to facilitating the gift of life through organ donation and transplantation, and I take pride in my ability to effectively manage the intricate logistics and dynamics involved in this important process.
