Mentor-guided research as part of my senior year at St. Lawrence University. Improving a patent held by one of our faculty for an industrial wastewater treatment system. My work includes looking at current research in the field to see viable additions to the process, such as the addition of a photo-decontamination technique, as well as test the current aspects of the system in order to make the process more efficient and economical. Once improvements have been made I will create a bench-top reactor which will enable the testing of samples more readily.
