Meredith Bowles is Principal at Mole Architects: www.molearchitects.co.uk. Mole is a multi award-winning practice specialising in low energy buildings and housing. He trained as an architect at Sheffield University, The Royal College of Art and the Architectural Association in London. After working as an architect in New York, Taiwan and London, Meredith established Mole Architects in 1998. Meredith is currently Visiting Professor of Architecture at the University of Suffolk, and external examiner at Nottingham University. He taught Architecture at South Bank University London (1995-96) , Sheffield University (2000-2003) and The University of Cambridge (2004-2011), and has lectured widely on sustainable design. Meredith is a panel member of the Cambridge Quality Panel, and joint Chair of the Suffolk Design Review Panel, and Trustee of the Cambridge Forum for the Construction Industry (www.cfci.org.uk) He has been Chair of judges on the RIBA House of the Year, Regional Chair of the RIBA Awards, and sat on the RIBA Awards Group 2012-2016, and is currently Chair of the RIBA Eastern Region RIBA Awards.Mole Architects has won multiple Awards, including the RIBA Manser Medal, RIBA Stephen Lawrence Award, the Richard Feilden Award at the British Homes Award, category winner of the British Homes Award, winner of the Ideal Home Blue Ribbon Award, and many national and regional RIBA Awards awards for architecture and sustainability.Meredith has appeared numerous times on radio and television, and lectures at home and abroad on architecture.
