Created and implemented an innovative Service-Learning Dropout Prevention class addressing the needs of local at-risk students. Oversaw all logistics and curricula of school’s first ever single-site Martin Luther King Day of Service; engaging over 200 students, staff, and volunteers, rehabilitating Philadelphia’s historic 10,000 sq. ft. first Black firehouse into a training facility reconnecting ex-offenders and people in addiction recovery to community systems of access. Established and maintained community partners with organizations including Global Citizen, Youth United for Change, Philadelphia Youth Network, OpportUNITY, Inc., and many food banks, shelters, healthcare facilities, and non-traditional sites of education through weekly service projects.
