I am the Senior Director of Graduate Programs for the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at University of Colorado - Boulder. My work is, and always has been, focused on the well-being of the graduate community and academic excellence of graduate programs. I look forward to future challenges and new students doing exciting science.Previously, I had the pleasure of working on the behalf of a diverse graduate student body for over 10 years at Boston University in the Department of Biology and with the Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Biochemistry group as Graduate Programs Coordinator. I then made the move across the river to MIT and worked for 2 years with the talented students in Brain & Cognitive Sciences. I have been fortunate to be involved in the support and education of STEM fields for the entirety of my professional career. Through government work, non-profit work and principally academia I have seen multiple levels and many sides of the scientific community. I have found myself most inspired and motivated by work with the student communities, specifically graduate students and their needs. My education and work experience has developed me into someone who is highly organized and efficient in fast-paced multitasking environments, able to prioritize and delegate effectively to accomplish objectives with humor, grace and enthusiasm.
