My primary duties entailed working alongside a landscape crew to complete activities for residential garden installation including garden installation, bed preparation, planting of annuals, perennials, and woody shrubs, mulching, watering, and maintenance. In addition, I accompanied the owner to wholesale nurseries to pull plants for garden designs, and assisted with client design presentations and estimates.

I designed and created custom floral arrangements tailored to customer’s desires utilizing my knowledge of design, flora, and fauna as well as put together arrangements according to standard Teleflora design for this busy downtown retail location. I also educated customers on the care, maintenance, and handling of various flowers and plants.In addition, I was responsible for flora and fauna maintenance as required to keep plants and materials healthy including watering, cutting, and cleaning. I also assisted with general retail duties such as greeting and interacting with customers on site and on the phone, placing and filling orders, handling sales transactions and opening/closing the shop.
