After graduating from University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business, where I earned my B.S.B.A. in Finance, I attended law school at Nova Southeastern University, where I was an editor of the Nova Law Review, and subsequently graduated cum laude in 2009. I am a Partner at a boutique law firm in midtown NYC where my practice focuses on providing legal advice and counseling relating to a variety of restrictive covenant and employment-related issues within the financial services and securities industry. Among other things, I provide guidance on the Protocol for Broker Recruiting, and on how to mitigate the risks associated with the transition of financial advisors amongst firms within this industry. I also represent both financial advisors and firms in various court proceedings, as well as in FINRA and AAA arbitrations.Prior to this, I spent close to 9 years within the complex commercial litigation group at Greenspoon Marder LLP, an Am Law 200 firm, where I handled a wide variety of legal matters in state and federal courts across the country, as well as in arbitration. I defended corporate clients in individual and class action lawsuits, proceedings and investigations brought by state and federal regulatory agencies, and I advised clients with respect to regulatory compliance. I also assisted clients in obtaining proper state licensing in various industries, and in drafting various client contracts and legally compliant internal corporate policies and manuals. I am currently licensed to practice law in FL, NY, MA, and DC. I am also admitted to practice before the following federal courts: S.D.N.Y., E.D.N.Y., M.D. Fla., S.D. Fla., N.D. Fla., and D. Mass.
