As Director of Rago's Fine Art Department, Meredith Hilferty oversees several multi-million dollar sales annually including six online sales in partnership with Artsy. She specializes in the valuation of fine art (paintings, drawings, sculpture, prints and photographs), helping sellers deacquisition works from their collections and consulting with buyers. Meredith's knowledge covers 19th and 20th Century Fine Art spanning Impressionism through Contemporary Art. She came to Rago in 2006 with a decade of experience in the evaluation of American and European art from the 18th-20th C. as well as appraisals and exhibition management. Since that time, she has developed a department that sets auction records for diverse and significant art at many price points. She appears as an expert appraiser for the PBS series, Antiques Roadshow, where she specializes in paintings and prints.
