Began in June 2004 as Administrative Director. Role was expanded to Associate Director in June 2007.Overall responsibilities:Administrative management of overall department including financial oversight, grant writing and reporting, program evaluation and strategic planning. Worked in partnership with the CERS Program Director and represented the department at agency-wide management meetings. Supervised administrative assistant and social work interns.Accomplishments:•Instituted infrastructure systems to support the growth and expansion of the department•Secured $25,000 grant to create new Latina New Moms Visiting Moms and Support Group programs •Facilitated collaborative relationship resulting in $250,000 in funding over 5 years for a new project with Horizons for Homeless Children.Responsibility included writing the grant proposal with input from colleagues.•Applied for and obtaining $20,000 in funding from Children's Trust Fund to pilot two new parent education projects•Applied for and received $27,000 from an internal JF&CS grant making process to expand and integrate direct service, consultations and training.•In partnership with an IPTI faculty member, developed a proposal that secured a $50,000 grant for IPTI, the first philanthropic support for the Institute.•Managed all aspects of United Way reporting tied to securing close to $100,000 in annual funding•Working in partnership with staff and faculty, played a key role in launching the Infant-Parent Training Institute including creating systems for student recruitment, managing tuition payments, scheduling courses, organizing course materials and working in partnership with faculty on syllabi•Co-led a strategic planning process with CERS staff resulting in mission clarity, the creation of a leadership team and enhanced fundraising capabilities.•Assumed program supervisor responsibility for additional programs.

Participated as part of the unit team to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the patients hospitalized in various psychiatric units. Conducted intake assessments with new patients entering the hospital. Coordinated with nurses and psychiatrists. Responsible for responding to urgent patient situations across the hospital as part of the rotating emergency response team. When necessary provided 1-1 observation of patients at risk of harming themselves or others.

Dorchester Massachusetts

Worked as part of the Occupational Therapy Department on the locked and unlocked psychiatric units. Led and co-lead a wide variety of groups for psychiatric patients. Completed individual notes for each participant following each group according to the Occupational Therapy model. Participated in team meetings with psychiatrists, nurses and mental health counselors. Responsible for working 1-1 with patients who were reluctant to engage in group activities. Level of patient engagement increased as a result of the 1-1 engagement as part of a Quality Improvement project.

Brockton, Ma

Provided structured therapeutic care within a 24-hour residential treatment setting for at risk adolescents. Responsibilities include providing 1-1 counseling, health and educational programming, support group facilitation and meal preparation. Accomplishments outside of job responsibilities:Organization youth led car washes as a local gas station to earn money for additional summer field trips including Riverside Park and Water Country.Engaged local organizations and companies to donate products for holidays gifts for the residents.
