Recruited to lead a team of buyers at a fast-paced agency with high-profile political clients.  Specialized in buying strategy for candidates, independent expenditure, and ballot initiatives with tight turnarounds and fluctuating budgets in nearly all 50 states. Directly responsible for media buying for campaigns that had a nearly perfect success rate. Singularly oversaw a budget and won a race that was the 2nd highest spending campaign of the cycle. Worked closely with the Research and Analytics department to monitor each live campaign to optimize when necessary for the nuance of political media buying. Mentored department staff while serving as a calming influence for an agency with a reputation for high intensity.

Brought in directly by the company owners to build a media buying department from the ground up. Created all company norms, policies and processes that built the company into a leader in its field. Ultimately, led a 30-person agency staff in all day-to-day operations.  Responsible for the launch and growth of a $45 million dollar media department that peaked as the 5th ranked local spender in all of Los Angeles. Led and communicated the strategy, negotiation, placement, tracking and analytics of all broadcast, out-of-home and digital schedules for both traditional and direct response clients such as Sit ‘n Sleep, Easy Life Furniture, Robbins Bros, Crestline Funding, H.D. Buttercup and Boston Medical Group. Strategized, developed, and presented media philosophies and capabilities at new business meetings. Managed and monitored client and agency profitability reports. Created and executed sophisticated radio, television, print, digital and outdoor strategies to maximize client dollars. Cultivated strategic partnerships with other agencies, media companies, creative groups, and vendors.

Brought in to work directly with planning and account teams to strategize, create and execute innovative concepts for placing radio and television schedules. Supervised the placement and maintenance of over $80 million in billing annually for over 100 markets in 9 regional buying offices for Wells Fargo Bank, Epson Inc., and Infiniti. Negotiated media schedules and promotions for accounts such as Cingular Wireless, JC Penney, Dell, Quaker and Clorox. Winner of the Southern California Broadcaster’s Association Media Campaign of the Year
