Palmer for 43 days; worked a 12 hour shift each day- Daily duties included: setting up and deploying Metro and MOCNESS nets to collect zooplankton, processing catch by identifying, counting, and biovoluming organisms- Ran two experiments aimed to quantify: (1) salp and krill Fecal Pellet Production and (2) larval fish thermal tolerance- Assisted other labs with the: collection and filtering of water from a CTD Rosette, identification of seabirds and marine mammals- Conducted field work in a remote environment in rough seas during a pandemic
