• Develop the firm’s state and local tax practice and act as state and local tax resource for team members, colleagues, and clients. This includes conducting state focused CPE trainings and authoring blogs and articles sponsored by TaxOps. • Present to current and potential clients significant state tax issues relevant to their company and industry.• Collaborate with management and clients to identify, research, and implement tax planning opportunities.• Analyze and evaluate companies’ state and local tax exposures, present findings, and provide recommendations. • Prepare and review state and local ASC 740 and ASC 740-10 documentation for both public and private companies.• Prepare and review state income tax returns for corporate and pass-through entities (e.g. S corporations, limited liability companies, etc.), including various multi-tier pass- through structures. • Provide notice responses and state audit defense for income tax assessments, in addition to general consulting services.• Prepare documentation for indirect tax compliance (e.g. sales and use tax matrices and nexus analysis memos).

• Worked closely with the federal and international tax practices regarding engagement setup and management for review and preparation of state income tax returns.• Review state income tax returns for corporate and pass-through entities (i.e., limited liability companies, limited partnerships, etc.), including various multi-tier pass-through structures and pass-through withholding. • Prepare and review state ASC 740-10 documentation for both public and private companies.• Review ASC 740 state workpapers prepared by both public and private companies. • Provide state due diligence, including communicating findings and opportunities to clients.• Provide notice responses and state audit defense for income tax, in addition to general consulting services.• Prepare amended state tax returns related to federal Revenue Agents Report and refund claims.
