I worked as a Marketing and Communications intern for VPS group France. This involved developing the client database using ByPath and Salesforce and through extensive research, making contact with journalists in order to initiate a relationship with press before launching press releases, and working as a team to create effective marketing and sales strategies. I assisted the Commercial directors in their communications with several large property and real estate companies such as Savills, Foncia, BNP Paribas and Cushman&Wakefield. I also assisted with translation work to effectively transmit documents, media and the content of meetings between the VPS office in London and Paris.

I worked as an Production intern at GA Operations for seven months, assisting with the data input and updating of the database ready for the Spring/Summer 18 Collection. My principal job was to process and log orders from the warehouses all over the world to the Armani warehouses in Italy by using complicated computer software. I was an active and productive member of the team, using my linguistic talents in English and Italian, in order to communicate with international suppliers and help to ensure a smooth running department. Furthermore, I assisted the stylist teams by evaluating the garments during seasonal fittings in order to ensure the final product is of an extremely high quality. I learnt to use several different software programmes such as AS400, ModelForm and Waterfall as well as developing my professional communication skills.

I spent a few hours each week standing on Exeter high street handing out flyers and conversing with locals and students alike in order to promote sales for Deliveroo. This job gave me an early taste in the sector of 'Marketing and Communications' as I learnt how important it is to promote a brand in the correct way. I improved my interpersonal and communication skills as well as developing some resiliance against long hours and unfavourable weather conditions!

During my work experience at Framestore, I was able to witness both Production aspects as well as creative aspects of the film and special effects industry. I shadowed the Head of Production and attended meetings to decide which films Framestrore would take on that year as well as budget discussions. I also witnessed how special effects are created and developed and was able to see modifications on the Oscar winning film Gravity. This work experience has given me a good insight not only to the world of being a Producer in a creative industry, but also into the complex world of technical special effects.
