My interest resides in genetics research and learning about the genetic code that shapes our lives. I have participated in a wide range of research from high-performance computing, gene cloning and viral gene regulation. I have gained many skills working both in the lab and outdoor environments. My analytical thinking and strategic planning allows me to apply my scientific knowledge to laboratory experimentation. In the past five years at Clemson, I have worked diligently with my laboratory advisors conducting research that will impact our society. My fellow students would describe me as diligent and insightful in the lab, someone who maintains a positive attitude and safe working environment. I plan to pursue a graduate degree in Genetic research and education of postsecondary Biological Sciences.
