At the Institute for Integrative and Innovative Research (I³R, pronounced “i cubed r"), we discover, develop, deliver and deploy at scale to produce meaningful societal impact that improves quality of life and promotes economic development.As a researcher at the Institute, my role is to develop an independent, collaborative, productive and visible research program in public policy and community development, prioritizing corporate and community engagement, as well as highly interdisciplinary and convergent research focused on innovative and integrative approaches for societal impact.This role builds on a decade of experience at the University of Arkansas, where I most recently served as the Director for Northwest Arkansas Industry & Community Engagement in the Division of Economic Development. Continuing to the present role, I am a social connector who looks for opportunities to put academics and industry experts together for research and innovation.I have varied experience in the higher education and government sectors, primarily in corporate and community outreach, having worked for the Sam M. Walton College of Business in corporate relations, career services and employer relations, MBA program management, and the Office of Study Abroad. Prior to the university, my experience includes international work for a USAID-funded international education foundation in Senegal, as well as two internships with the U.S. Department of State, including a public affairs assignment for the U.S. Embassy Nigeria.
