I am a patent law associate with at Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP in Cincinnati, Ohio. I am a registered patent attorney, admitted to practice before the US Patent & Trademark Office. I earned a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law. During my third year of law school, I visited Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University. My studies and experiences have focused on intellectual property, with a particular emphasis on biotechnology patent law.My scientific background is in atomic-level protein structure determination. I did structural biology research for five years at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Case Western Reserve University. Through my work with the Nikola Pavletich Lab at MSKCC, I have been published in Nature and Cell Reports, links to which may be found below.I have a masters degree in biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University and bachelors degree in biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University.I currently serve as board President for the South Ohio section of the Society of Women Engineers.
