Selected as one of seven members of a state-wide working group tasked with reviewing and evaluating the standards applied to moral character determinations. Analyzed existing methodology and developed clear and appropriate guidelines for determining whether an applicant possesses the requisite moral character. Ensured greater uniformity and consistency in decision-making, transparency into the moral character evaluation process, and provision of appropriate consideration for rehabilitative efforts undertaken by applicants to minimize barriers to admission and increase access.

Elected as executive board member of the Professional International Educators Roundtable (PIER), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing international educators with opportunities to discuss issues and regulations affecting international students and scholars.
