Ubuntu Village of Life ("UVL") is a non-profit organization with a mission to support disadvantaged people living in rural areas in Burundi, East Africa. UVL operates a hospital and satellite clinic that provides essential healthcare services to these communities. As part of my Board work, I had the opportunity to spend time in Mugamba region, in Burundi, to learn about the local environment and challenges, and help develop hospital management infrastructure and operational processes.

Assumed responsibility for Bellwood Health (Toronto) a 100-bed facility and Clinique Nouveau Depart (Montreal), a 27-bed facility, during transitional leadership periods.

Lead a team of almost 100 people managing the operations of three medical clinic businesses at Shoppers Drug Mart: the Health Clinic by Shoppers, the Beauty Clinic by Shoppers and the Affiliated Clinics.Leader of the management team responsible for business operations, team development, physician recruitment and engagement, P&L, annual budget and strategic planning, and marketing. For the Health Clinic by Shoppers, developed the concept, launched and and built a network of 10 clinics in Ontario and BC, with a staff of over 70 in three years.
