Organized law office and home move from Washington to Texas beginning January, 2024 and culminating in Texas arrival May 1, 2024. Since arriving, I have arranged and supervised house remodeling that includes rooms being painted, kitchen remodel, and organizing home and office property on site and offisite storage. During the summer I applied for TX bar licensing reciprocity, completed the TX Law Course, did online religion courses, committed to volunteer for a pregnancy resources non-profit organization, became a Texas notary public (my fifth state as a notary!) and have begun creative writing projects. I expect to open a small solo law practice focusing on estate planning once my Texas bar license is active.

Teaching families and family members learn better communication skills so they can talk to each other without conflict and resolve disputed issues. Helping family members with difficult conversations, such as adult children with with elder parents or probate issues, couples who want to stay together with marriage issues, parents with teenage child/ren issues, or family issues by facilitating structured conversations among the participants. Goals could include learning better communication skills, making agreements about how they communicate, giving everyone an opportunity to feel heard, making agreements about disputed issues, and improving the communication among the family, among other things. Sometimes one meeting or one facilitated conversation is all that is needed, other times participants need a series of get togethers with the facilitator to improve communications. I also offer family team meeting facilitation in conjunction with geriatric care managers.

SW Washington Second Saturday is a registered non profit corporation in the State of Washington. We offer monthly classes on the second Saturday of every month (8:15am - noon) for women considering or going through divorce by teaching them about the financial and legal aspects of divorce, along with alternative dispute resolution options and mental health counseling support. We offer on going small divorce support groups for women who have participated in SW Washington Second Saturday.
