About Meredith Williams

I am an art historian and interior designer. I am compelled by objects and spaces that evoke their historical moment yet resonate with contemporary viewers, provoking audiences, individuals, and families to functionally and aesthetically interact with their material surroundings. I believe that intentional living with material culture teaches us about how the world around us functions, about how we exist in space, and about how we engage with ideas beyond gallery walls. My desire to explore both how and why people value and interact with objects led me to graduate with my Master’s in the History of Art from the University of Oxford and pursue professional work in arts and design-related fields that curate such interactions. I bring an interdisciplinary approach to visual and material culture, having worked with a private art collection, an arts education start-up, an auction house (Christie's), and interior design firm.
