Provide leadership and direction to establish, maintain and strengthen relationships with SHRM volunteer leaders, members, and affiliates to achieve the Society’s strategy and objectives surrounding membership growth and retention. Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to educate and inform volunteer leaders on membership programs, services and resources and to support them in their multifaceted volunteer leader role. Report to the Senior Vice President of Membership.• Bolster and expand interactions between SHRM and the leaders of its state councils and chapters; manage, strengthen, and extend volunteer leader resources and offerings.• Work with volunteers and affiliates to best align their affiliate goals and objectives within SHRM and create individualized and strategic achievement plans year-to-year.• Oversee SHRM’s Membership Advisory Council (MAC), which serves as an interface between volunteer leaders and the SHRM Board of Directors. The MAC provides input from the membership through the regional councils to the Board and feedback from the Board to the membership, and provides operational input to SHRM to ensure optimum service/support to and from the volunteer leadership. Organize MAC reports and presentations to SHRM’s Board of Directors twice annually.• Design and execute volunteer leader-specific events, including meetings, webinars, conference calls, working groups, and other relationship and network‐building activities throughout the year.• Oversee and manage the onboarding and orientation process and resources for new volunteer leaders each year.• Maximize participation in and satisfaction with SHRM volunteer leader programs, events, and activities.
