Through my college coursework, summer internships, and merchandising experience, I have developed a robust passion for this fast-paced, ever-changing retail industry.As a merchant, I play a key role in owning the product strategy behind a living, breathing, multi-million dollar business. From working with our designers to identify what is new + next, to analyzing sales and identifying growth drivers for the business, I take full ownership of our product each day.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Analyzing sales metrics on a weekly basis to identify growth drivers and key shifts in consumer behavior, ensuring the department is maximizing classifications & attributes tracking in current sales and applying them to go-forward assortment strategies• Building out pre-season assortment architecture by 1) applying in-depth seasonal hindsight in tandem with trend forecasting to formulate key, growth-driving strategies and set classification targets, 2) collaborating with design team to assort styles into strategic architecture, and 3) presenting and defending assortment decisions for leadership buy-in at Assortment Review & Line Review stages.• Identifying and maximizing key items pre-season through assortment tests, style surveys, competitive patterning, and focus groups to inform appropriate depth and breadth invested in top styles • Effectively managing cross-functional relationships with sourcing, planning, design, & marketing partners to drive our business forward each day
