Public Relations And Communications Officer
Rahab'S Rope
Gainesville, Georgia
At Rahab's Rope we work to help girls and women who are at-risk or victimized by the commercial sex trade industry in India successfully get out and re-enter society in a positive and contributing way. We do work throughout India in the areas of prevention, direct intervention and aftercare. As the Public Relations Team Lead I worked to establish and secure relationships within our local community, throughout the United States, and in India as well. These relationships included churches of all denominations, para-church organizations, other non-profits and key individuals to assist with the growth and development of our organization. I also made sure our followers and supporters stayed engaged with our ministry through monthly newsletters, daily social media activity, producing paper literature, press releases and blogs. I managed several short-term and long-term projects to ensure that our outside communications continued to engage our supporters and followers. These projects were directly linked to an increase in our revenue streams. I handled several HR responsibilities as well including, establishing a company wide employee review system, establishing and writing all new employee offer letters and contracts (both full-time and contractor), managing new employee on boarding and training, managing the employee termination process, phone screening and interviewing possible new hires, managing employee vacation days.I also managed all office, store and warehouse supplies, managed the stateside volunteer schedule, managed the graphics and design team, attended conferences for PR and sales, and managed all interns.
