Within the Sanctuary and together with a team of beautiful and experienced fellow-guides, I guide participants during three-day psychedelic retreats. The Sanctuary works psilohuasca, a combination of psilocybine truffles and Caapi, both of which are legal in The Netherlands. In ceremonies that are held with deep care, beautiful music and the healing power of community, we guide people in transformative and healing experiences in their inner world. Additionally, I also support The Sanctuary in the organisation and communication surrounding these transformative retreats.

At De Nieuwe Yogaschool I helped reorganise and coordinate the reception team, splitting this 24/7 job with the team manager and working closely with MT.

Together with a lawyer and a social development professional I founded the foundation Rights of Nature Netherlands as part of a European-wide initiative to establish basic nature rights in law. I hold the function of chairman.As the European Rights of Nature organization has come to an organizational freeze, Rights of Nature NL has paused its activities.

Ginkyo is a start-up foundation aiming to support smallholder farmers to transition to regenerative agriculture. Working with the framework of Integrated Landscape Management, Ginkyo convenes relevant stakeholders and local partners to train farming communities in the knowledge and skills to regenerate their land(scape) and improve social and economic welfare and equity. An extra focus in this work lies on the empowerment of local youth and women.

S4C is a nonprofit + social enterprise that develops trainings in social and sustainable entrepreneurship under many brand names in the Netherlands. My tasks include:Marketing strategy, content creation, content planning, socials campaigns, campaign evaluation, supporting the training coordinators with acquisition of participants for trainings, supporting e-learning creation

Programme coordination for Gouden Kans Project: a training in social and sustainable entrepreneurship for young people (17 to 27 of age). In this training the participants receive professional training and personal coaching to initiate and realise projects with a social and/or sustainable impact in their region. My role entails training development, facilitating work sessions and supporting the participants to create links with local impact organisations to execute their projects and offer guidance in the projects' realisation.

Hartbiet is an expanding health food start-up with its roots in De Nieuwe Yogaschool in Amsterdam. Some of my tasks are supporting the development of climate neutral catering (first in Amsterdam), improving sustainable practice and developing the (sustainable) business vision. Further, I developed an online marketing strategy and signature style, a personal approach in communication & social media posting, creating sustainable content on health benefits of food and sustainability awareness.www.hartbiet.nl

I supported and helped coordinate the process where HartBiet had all their catering meals calculated for climate impact (CO2-equivalent) by GiantLeaps through Life Cycle Analyses. This impact was then compensated through a partnership with Trees for All. In this process we sharpened the sustainability vision and mission of the company, its practices and communicated content and a press release accordingly.

A short assignment to support JEA with promoting the launch of one of their coffee table books and create a signature style for their social media channels.

As project coordinator at Stichting Voeding Leeft (Food Lives) I coordinated transition trajectories for the program Keer Diabetes 2 Om (Reverse Diabetes 2). In this program, I work together with a dietist, a medical professional and a life coach to assist clients with Diabetes Type 2 in decreasing their medication and enhance their overall health through altering food patterns, lifestyle and physical exercise habits. The program is monitored by a scientific research institute to show the effectivity of this approach.

While in university and a few years after, I traveled around Europe and the world with several theatre companies for stilt theatre performances (NL: stelten-theater). Have a look at www.teatropavana.com and www.samshine.nl for the main two companies that I worked for.

While living in Gouda for 1,5 years, I founded a temporary pop-up studio 'Het Gouden Hart' (The Golden Heart) for yoga, mindfulness and workshops. It was an experimental project aiming to bring different professionals and studios in the yoga & mindfulness field together to create more visibility for all entrepreneurs. All classes in Het Gouden Hart were based on Pay As You Feel (donation).

A project of several months: I coordinated the development of the renewing of the website for the online Solution Library of the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) International.

For my MSc thesis, I conducted qualitative field research in Senegal, Thailand and Italy into the possibilities of partnerships between the ecovillage movement and national governments to further a transition to sustainability. Transition Theory (Rotmans et al.) was the main theory tested in this work. The research was done in cooperation with the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN) and I financed the project through a crowdfunding initiative.

As an internship I worked for the South African Press Association in Johannesburg as a reporter. During that time mass violence erupted in the townships surrounding Johannesburg. I wrote a news article for the Dutch national newspaper de Volkskrant on the situation (see under 'Publications')For some of my work during my time at SAPA see 'Publications'.
