Limelight Foundation is an independent philanthropic foundation, based in The Netherlands, with an annual donation budget of EUR 6 mio. We fund and support journalism and civil society organizations that are committed to a strong and free information ecosystem in the digital age.

Founding and leading Limelight Foundation, a grantmaking foundation, based in The Netherlands. Responsible for setting up the foundation under Dutch law; recruiting board, staff, funders and advisory board; drafting strategy and building up the grants portfolio; devising grantmaking approach and procedures for systematic assessment of potential beneficiairies, contracting new grantees, and monitoring & evaluation of grants.

Our research group investigates how journalism can innovate to remain relevant to diverse audience groups in a changing society. We study journalism practice, news outputs and audiences. We develop knowledge and insights that are useful for journalists, scholars, journalism educators and civil society organizations.

​​Researching and editing for College Tour, a Dutch TV show in which students interview celebrities, thought leaders, decision-makers - all leaders and experts in their field. Guests on the show included i.a. actor John Malkovich, religious leader the Dalai Lama, architect Rem Koolhaas, and civil rights activist Jesse Jackson.

Researching, writing, editing and producing news items for a current affairs programme on Dutch TV (public broadcasting); aimed at younger audiences.
