For 6+ years Merete worked as a consultant on the Implementation of an Electronic Healthcare Record system (EPIC) in Capital Region and Region Zealand, called Sundhedsplatformen. After the implementation she worked on upgrades, optimization and maintenance of Sundhedsplatformen.She worked on different assignments, both as consultant on the vendor side (EPIC) and the customer side (Region Hovedstaden and Region Sjælland). Merete was a volunteer in the Summer Institute for engineering students in Tanzania. First month sheI received training in the language Kiswahili, technical training in the operation and repair of medical equipment. Second month Merete spent at a host hospital, repairing and installing medical equipment and providing support for the hospital staff.
