This means that the provinces try to spatially integrate/plan the national spatial ambitions (expressed in a "startpackage") together with their own provincial objectives. The space in the Netherlands is limited, and "solving the spatial puzzle" brings both opportunities and challenges.Important aspects of my work included weekly procesmanagement between the central government and the provinces, interdepartmental coordination between ministries, organizing workshops that use spatial design as a reseach-tool and organizing directors meetings.(Fulltime secondment) Show less

For the secondment as part of my traineeship I worked for public affairs team of the municipality of Utrecht. Tasks include: managing the internal (public affairs) network of the organisation, making preparations for meetings of aldermen with other officials and analyzing/reporting of parlement debates for public affairs purposes.
