Senior Biologist
CurrentMerissa has over 21 years of experience in wildlife biology, environmental consulting, and GIS mapping. Her expertise includes threatened and endangered species and habitat surveying, GIS data collection and mapping, environmental assessments, raptor biology, reclamation monitoring, wetland delineations, wetlands restoration and design, revegetation, spill prevention control and countermeasure planning, and permitting. Merissa has worked as project manager on multidiscipline projects, and has performed duties such as scheduling and budgeting to meet project constraints, coordinating with sub-consultants, scheduling workloads for field technicians, construction management, and post-construction monitoring. Merissa serves as direct liaison for clients with federal agencies including U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Forest Service, Utah Division of Natural Resources, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, and Tribal Councils.
